This policy explains what information SimpleLandTools ("we," "us") collects when you use this site, how it's used, and the choices you have. This is a general-purpose policy — have a lawyer review it against your actual data practices before relying on it as your sole compliance document, especially if you collect data from residents of California, the EU, or other jurisdictions with specific privacy laws (CCPA, GDPR, etc.).

Information we collect

• Account information: name and email address when you register, either directly or via Google Sign-In (in which case we receive your name, email, and Google account ID from Google).
• Listing information: any details you submit when listing a property, including contact name, email, and phone number, which are displayed publicly on the listing.
• Usage data: standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) collected automatically by most hosting providers.
• Partner listing data: property listings sourced from RentCast's API are third-party data, not personal information you provided to us.

How we use your information

• To create and manage your account and authenticate you (including via Google Sign-In).
• To display and manage property listings you submit.
• To respond to inquiries sent through the contact page.
• To maintain site security and troubleshoot technical issues.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Google Sign-In

If you sign in with Google, we receive basic profile information (name, email, Google account ID) via Google's OAuth service to create or access your account. We do not receive your Google password. Use of Google Sign-In is subject to Google's own Privacy Policy.

Third-party services

Property listing data may be supplemented via the RentCast API. Contact forms and account creation are processed on our own servers. If you add analytics, advertising, or other third-party scripts to this site later, list them here along with what data they collect.

Cookies

We use a session cookie to keep you logged in after you sign in. We do not currently use tracking or advertising cookies. If that changes (e.g. you add Google Analytics or ad services), update this section to disclose it.

Data retention and deletion

Account and listing data is retained as long as your account is active. To request deletion of your account or personal data, contact us at the email below.

Children's privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
